Surely he could book a hotel for the night, I do worry about him.

I presume the car was going sideways.

Very good (smashing, in fact)

Without reading too much into it, it does seem odd that he was driving on the Heathrow Perimeter Rd - that's not a road I would use if I was travelling from Chiswick to Cobham - it's really used for airport traffic only.

He'll have a right job to get insured next time.

Has he got a problem with the old demon drink?

Seriously, what an idiot.

I think thats the Third incident

They should take away his license for good, he is clearly not learning and is a danger to society, plus he could probably afford to employ a chauffeur for the rest of his life got to get tough on people like this before they kill someone

last time he avoided jail despite already being on a 2 year ban

Love the fact that the reporters only state he played for Utd, Chelsea, Milan
when he played the most games and his best football for us

hope he gets himself sorted, the best midfielder ive seen play for QPR in my 34 years of going

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I was on a train on Saturday, returning from Sheffield, and my mate kept imploring me - by Whatsapp - to listen to Talk Sport, because Wilkins was on and sounded "SO angry." "Angry with everything..."

We now know why.

Get Surrey must have read your post PP, it mentions QPR now...

Missed court hearing because of checking into rehab.

Suffers from depression and drinking problems. No laughing matter. Needs help.

Never knowingly right.

Hope he gets through this, was a brilliant player for us and not that bad a manager either, just had a bad summer in the transfer market where he wasn't helped by more senior people who should have known better

Agree but it starts with helping yourself. I've been to golf days or horse racing days over the years and I purposely leave the car/motorbike at home. Got the train there and can't remember how I got back! He can easily afford a cab.

Hope the rehab works. Long path ahead for him.

That is exactly the problem he has. I would imagine that he made the intelligent decision not to drink so took his car. Then just had a small one at the halfway bar with the other lads...and that's all it takes. An almighty lack of self control is the harsh way of describing the problem. Barney from the Simpsons always comes to mind as the caricature of the true alcoholic.
