That freekick though. 10:38 - Feb 19 with 5070 viewsBluce_Ree

It's a cliche but if a top 4 prem (fk that "EPL" shit) had hit that, football media would have w@nked itself to death.

What a lovely strike.

Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah. His crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

I did like the guy on the radio's description of the goalkeeper having "poppadum hands" when trying to save it.

I really don't know what to make of it. It seemed to take Birmingham and the keeper by surprise.

It was great that it went in but surely the keeper should have saved it?

I was directly behind the goal and that ball rose and dipped like it was on a ride at Alton Towers. Ronaldo would have been pleased with that!

The keeper is getting criticised but that swerving knuckleball style of hit makes them all look silly from afar.

Yeh , knuckleball.. great shot, cant really blame the keeper .

I'm still getting over the shock of Yenni actually being able to kick the ball more than 30 yards
In all seriousness great to see him bang one in hopefully with a bit less pressure of a relegation scrap we might see a bit more from him between now and the end of the season

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I think the thing is that he has been over weight, a bit out of shape and trying to settle in a new country.

He is certainly a dead ball specialist and he can hit a ball with dip and swerve because he has a very Beckhamesque style of hitting a ball. Part of the problem is that he is an off a big man forward like Washington, not a midfielder or a winger. He's a forward.

Look how many great dead ball goals he scores and how often he ghosts into the 6 yard box from his previous clubs.

We are yet to see him fully fit, fully settled and playing where he should be playing. Certainly a great player to put on free kicks and pens.

Never knowingly right.

He hit it well enough, but that should have just been caught by the keeper - he's had a right Rob Green there.

Either way I like Ngbokoto and I think after a rocky start with one thing or another he's going to be a good player for us.

Was that the BBC Radio London commentary you were listening too?

Andy Rowley came up with one of my favourite Rs related quotes ever in connection with that free kick: "What was Kuszczak doing? Who cares!" Wonderful.

RFA

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

That's right. Is it Rob Scott who's the co-commentator? I find him absolutely spot on with how he reads the game.

It was Rob Scott for that game. I thought they did a great job and I loved their rabid bias.

I was pruning some unruly shrubs in the garden and at one point - when the third goal went in, I think - I ran to the window to celebrate in front of Mrs From Afar, waving my secateurs and a large branch like someone out of Lord of the Flies.

What a game, what a result, but we have to get another three points tomorrow.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

As far as this thread is concerned that's a non secateur ( can't spell sequitur)

I was sat right down by the front and thought Kuszczak made a right mess of it - live it felt like he had time to even get back and claw it away but just kind of lay there.

Couldn't care less mind

Was sat up two-thirds up behind the goal and as said previously the final dip on the ball was astonishing. I thought their keeper actually did well to get a hand on it in the last seconds given that for about 95% of the time the ball has been hit it certainly looked like it was going to fly safely over the bar. An absolutely fantastic strike and for me could be about the best free-kick goal I have seen Rangers score.
