Pleased for them. Hope Wrexham can make it as well.

I'd like to see Wrexham make it back too. They are a club with a distinguished history.

Elsewhere, I see Stockport won the Conference North today. It's been a long time in the wilderness for them too.

Norwich and Sheffield United (all bar the shouting) promoted to the prem.

Lincoln up from L2 to L1.

Torquay up from the National League South to the National League.

Had a look at the relegation candidates from League One, Plymouth have had a shocking run since they drew 2 - 2 with us.

Wouldn't like to predict who's going up or down now, guess it'll be who wants it more on Saturday.

Yeovil have plummeted in the last few years. Championship to non league in 5 years. That was the way I thought we were going not so long ago.

They are an odd club, Yeovil. Huge Cup tradition back in the day, have done perfectly well for most of their stay in the League, but their demise has been pretty quick in the end.

Away fans up and down the country won't miss them, that is for sure. Horrible trip.

For me, the surprise promotion package are Sheffield United. After their unexpected stagnation in L1, they've gone screaming back up.

I'm happy for them. Weren't they unjustly relegated from the prem by a Tevez goal against West Ham?

Of the teams so far relegated, the surprises are Ipswich, Yeovil, and FC U of M.

I wasn't SO surprised by Ipswich. They have been stagnating for a while now.

FCUM pleased me no end. Complete bell ends, the lot of them. (generalises furiously)

The other 2 relegated from the championship are logical: Bolton with their problems and Rotherham arguably the smallest team in the division.

For Ipswich, it'd have been possible to replace them with any one from a dozen or so teams. And for them to be rock bottom, so far adrift!! Only a point or two better off than us when we were relegated.

FCUM - Haha. Yes. But surprising given their gates.

In the end, I suppose it was simply Ipswich's turn.

Their points total is a shocK though.

It's not like they were battling for survival on the last day of the season.

The EFL are going to be busy this summer. There are so many clubs with serious financial problems and I fear we will see at least one liquidation.

Blackpool are not out of the woods yet. The receivers have a duty to not I incur debt and have to live within their means. Potential buyers will have to be scrutinised by the EFL and we as supporters are hoping for the new owners to have financial "muscle".

Promotion and relegation issues still to be sorted -

More than likely Cardiff to be relegated from the prem (possibility the'll overtake Brighton)

Derby (in the driving seat), Middlesborough, and Bristol City going for the last Championship play off spot.

Doncaster (with a 1 point advantage) and Peterborough looking to fill the last L1 play off position.

A dog fight at the bottom of L1 with Scunthorpe, Walsall, Plymouth, Southend, Wimbledon, and Wycombe all in danger of filling one of the 3 remaining relegation places.

League 2 promotion - Bury, Mansfield, Milton Keynes, Forest Green, and Tranmere all vying for the two available automatic places. Newport, Exeter, Colchester, Carlisle, and Stevenage all looking to sneak into the last play off place.

L2 relegation - Either Notts County or Macclesfield to fill the last spot to be relegated out of the football league.

Should be an exciting weekend.

L1 and L2 have been fantastically competitive this season and all the more enjoyable for it. If only our so-called blue riband League was the same....... same old half dozen names at the top, only the running order is at issue. And four of those six have been also-rans for weeks.

You'd like to think another Leicester might come along. I suppose we will have to be patient.

Liverpool deserve to win.
