Ya, it's weird! Somehow it doesn't bother me, though.

As a long time admirer of Joanna Newsome it would have to be this... Fiona Apple: The Idler Wheel was another that could have been here.

Simply perfect and the drumming and guitar are a level above.

About Giordano Bruno.

The whole album is a concept.

Looking forward to checking these out, I rather missed the last decade.

Dancehall by the Blaze is fine (and their videos exceptional), but there's no full album on youtube so here's a single track.

A magnificent football club, the love of our lives, finding a way to finally have its day in the sun.

Like Hopphoops this decade has passed me by somewhat, so looking forward to all the suggestions. The Album that struck me most is probably this.

I really struggled with this - the 2010s have not been great for music IMO, an streaming has meant that albums are listened to less and less start to finish.

The best I could come up with was Reflecktor by Arcade Fire.

Honorable mentions to Chrvches and Sam Fender for not being completely crap

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

Because I'm boring and can never remember anything it's probably something dull like Sleep Well Beast by The National. A proper return to forum and reinvigorated my adoration of them.

Influential though - it's hard to look past ...Dark Fantasy and Yeezus by Kanye. Yeah he's a melt, but the sounds of those two albums have defined popular music this decade

Cultural impact - everyone's kidding themselves if it ain't Lemonade by Beyonce

imo, there's been loads of great stuff, it's just harder to find (bizarrely) as algorithms drive us towards the more popular stuff. I remember James Murphy saying how Amazon was bad for music because your recommendations email never says "You're probably not cool enough to have heard of these bands" like a record store would.

That said I went back through the pitchfork top 50 articles for each year and man, the top 10s are dominated by albums I have completely forgotten about, with good reason. That could just be how try hard pitchfork are with their lists though

The album that I have listened to the most in the last decade is "No-one Cares About Your Creative Hub, So Get Your Fückin' Hedge Cut" by Half Man Half Biscuit; the decade before was Costello Music by The Fratellis.

Having been around a while now, I'd have to agree that it wasn't a great decade for truly great albums. There's a massive difference between a good or interesting album and a great one. In the past ten years I could only suggest the two Frank Ocean albums and the Billie Eilish album as 'mainstream' 'interesting' and 'great' - it's difficult to find all three these days.

I've heard a few things by Idles. Just don't get it. Nor Sleaford Mods, who are often compared to them.
