I'm a big fan of 40's and 50's film noir. Over the last couple of weeks have gotten into the habit of watching one every night. Found a good one a couple of nights ago - Sudden Fear, staring Jack Palance and Joan Crawford, 1952 i think, gripping stuff.

As a bit of a name drop, i knew Heather Sears well (one of her sons remains a great pal). Her husband was Tony Masters (won numerous awards for Art Direction for Dune and 2001 Space Odyssey). Both fab unassuming people - despite the Oscars on the mantlepiece, both died far too young.
Rubbish link as I’m struggling with an iPad thingy; we stumbled across this a couple of nights back - thoroughly enjoyed it as it is a proper real film that is superbly acted and not too cliched.

I'm a big fan of Omeleto too. Obviously nothing like them but takes me back to 'Tales of the Unexpected' which I still occasionally catch and enjoy here and there.
Can't find a 'free' version but 'Wild Tales' is simply brilliant. A series of Argentinian short films but very dark and sinister. Saw it on channel 4 about 5 years ago and watched each of them about 10 times. Trailer below:
