Chastening news. That night at Stamford Bridge will always be in my memory and the day that he went haring along the Paddocks and his hamstring snapped, it was like a rifle shot. R.I.P. Mr Robinson.

The grass is always greener.

Decent player and a decent fella. Unlucky with injuries in his time with us.

Anyone who was there will never forget that rainy night, white football in a dark sky hurtling towards us like a falling satellite. One of the great and memorable QPR goals. RIP Micky Robinson. 61 is too young.

Very sad news. A really good player. Had all sorts of injury problems at Rangers but gave a 100% every time he played. RIP

Never knowingly right.

That night and goal at that place will be never be forgotten. Always thought he put the effort in. Just never really happened for him at Rangers.

RIP Michael.

Not unexpected but very sad. Too young.

Very respected as a commentator in Spain, I believe.

Gave me one of my happiest QPR memories and will live on there until I die.

I was just watching video of the 1986 league cup sf 2-2 at Anfield. He really had a smile on his face after that as he was being interviewed by ITV.

That and the special goal will always be great memories for any R, old enough to have seen them.

Thank you Michael.

The sad news just seems to go on forever at the moment.
RIP Michael.Although he wasn’t with us for long,he did more for us in that short time than many others did in their whole careers.
And that goal at Stamford bridge might be shown a bit more now.

Great picture of a great chap one of my favourite ever nights, as indeed was the semi-final at Anfield. I remember late in the second half that night, Robbo was clearly puffing, having chased everything all game, and we all started singing his name - he waved back as if to say, "thanks lads".

So glad you wore the Hoops, R.I.P. Michael.

Very sad, always liked him. He was a very important part of that Milk Cup run. If for nothing else, thanks for that goal at the SW6 cesspit. RIP.

Sad news. Came across as a very decent guy and will always be fondly remembered by QPR fans.

RIP.

There was a recent thread about unsung heroes etc. on here and I mentioned Robinson for all the reasons said above.

One of those players who always left nothing out there and only fond memories of him. Such a shame for a decent lad as well.

RIP Michael
