`Sands` was before my time - `Trader Jacks` was my den of iniquity of choice.
Interesting shots of the Hambleton gala taken taken from the Scronkey* zeppelin, which is flown each year at the time of the gala, with bags of slurry thrown at the revellers below in retribution for the `1828 turnip incident` which still festers between the two neighbours. Admittedly more on the Scronkey side who believe it is still 1828...
*Scrokney is a tiny hamlet between Pilling and Out Rawcliffe and particularly troublesome and grudgeful to neighbouring villages - especially when turnips are involved...
Just looked at his other videos and I spotted two people I know.
Think this guy might have "issues"

There are a few I know in the Wyre Council clip - the fella sat next to Murphy was my solicitor until he retired - a lovely fella.
And the guy who gets a bit of a lecture at the end (Peter Gibson) I knew quite well at one time, many years ago. He`s had something of a fall from grace. Used to own a restaurant that was a favourite of ours many years ago.
And mrs spud knows the Henderson family of course.
Mrs spud used to do the parish council stuff over here and has had to deal with these self-important officious tossers.
It was often like pushing a boulder uphill through treacle...

The land that time forgot. Once got told I couldn't have the football on in The Squash because I wasn't from around here (not a million years ago - Luton play off semi). Local comes in and it's on in seconds.
It's got a reputation for being insular for a reason.
