Storms 18:14 - Aug 13 with 4301 viewscolinallcars

Anyone had the long promised storms ? It's still sweltering in West London and we've only had an eggcupful of bleedin' rain.

Chucked it down in North Ken about half an hour ago. It’s pleasant outside now, so out on the “veranda” with a bottle, book and Stranglers on the go.

No doubt it will turn muggy and unbearable again shortly. Because God is a sick git who likes to make me suffer his deplorable personality disorder.

Heavy thunderstorm late yesterday afternoon for 20 minutes or so that drifted away and came back with plenty of rain, 15 minute power cut too. (South Oxfordshire).
Rained a couple of times today.

It was brewing up nicely around 11 pm last night and then there was this one bang right overhead of us that was so loud my Mrs, who had just dozed off, nearly hit the ceiling she jolted up in bed so violently.

Dunno what we in Hammersmith have done to annoy the Rain Gods but we've still had bugger all here. A light smattering yesterday morning which barely wet the pavement but left splodges of dust on the motor. Lovely motor the Cortina......

Here in North Essex, torrential 30 minute downpour this morning, complete with thunder and lightning.
Now the garden looks drier than a camel's arseh0le again.

100% of people who drink water will die.

Yesterday afternoon it was end of the world type thunder and lightning in Epsom. That was then followed up with a few very heavy showers, but very much looked as if we largely lucked out between two different storm systems that mostly passed either side of us. Apparently a few miles away in Dorking it was proper prolonged rain.

Loving the nice and fresh weather today, which made my newly started cycling routine (I basically balloned during lockdown so now having to try and lose it all) a much more pleasant experience this morning.

Never knowingly understood

Massive torrential downpour for about two hours today just after I'd set foot in a pub for the first time since lockdown (The Woolpack in Slad as it happens, see the Beautiful Pubs thread) leaving me trapped inside. It was hell, boys.

Massive torrential downpour here as well 11pm-3am. My roof broke, took down part of my bathroom ceiling and kitchen ceiling below. Spent until 3am pumping out the water. Only good thing was that Young Frankenstein was on TV last night in the background.

Werewolf? Over there wolf.

Never knowingly right.
