Players Loaned Out 18:28 - Sep 21 with 2492 viewsspell_chekker

Updated - Devitt Added.

We've sent a fair few players out on loan already this season. I though it'd be interesting to track the fortunes of them all throughout the season.

Calum MacDonald - Tranmere, season long.
Liam Feeney - Tranmere, season long.
Ben Garrity - Oldham, season long.
Ryan Hardie - Plymouth, season long.
Adi Yussuf - Wrexham, season long.
Nathan Shaw - AFC Fylde, season long.
Jamie Devitt - Newport County, season long.
Cameron Antwi - Southport, 'till January.

MacDonald and Feeney were Both subs for Tranmere at the weekend. Tranmere lost 3-0 at home to the mighty Cheltenham. Feeney came on after 36 mins and MacDonald was unused. I don't think MacDonald's made an appearance for them yet.

Incidentally, Spearing played and was subbed after 81 mins - Legs not making the full 90?

Garrity has started both games for Oldham - they've also lost both games. He picked up a yellow on Saturday.

Hardie made his first start of the season and was subbed after 75 mins as Plymouth played out a 4-4 draw away to Wimbledon. He wasn't among the goal but funnily enough, he was replaced by Dom Telford who did score.

Joe Nuttall's been neither in the team nor on the bench in either of Northampton's first 2 league games. Injured? Nothampton have made a decent start ans so if he is coming back from injury, he'll likely have to wait for his chance.

Adi Yussuf is still in pre-season. Wrexham, and the National League, return to action on 3rd October.

Nuttall is injured, Garrity scored in the cup for Oldham and I think Hardie had an assist on Saturday.

Think your list is complete.

Nuttall came on as a sub

Hardie started but was subbed

Feeney Started

MacDonald was an unused sub

Garrity not in the Oldham 18

PS Anyone notice the shocker Bolton are having?

Bolton.

Played 3, lost 3.

I was very surprised with Evatt pre-season when he seemed to go for the old pals act.

Good for his mates but a lot of bad signings for the club.

I don't think anyone's been pulling up trees so I've not done this for a couple of weeks.

Here's what happened this weekend:-

Calum MacDonald - Tranmere, season long: An unused sub in Tranmere's 2-0 home win against Scunthorpe. He hasn't made a first team appearance yet.

Liam Feeney - Tranmere, season long: He has started 1 league game but didn't feature at all for Tranmere, not even on the bench. I had a quick look around and don't think he's injured.

Incidentally, both Spearing and Peter Clarke played the full 90 for Tranny.

Ben Garrity - Oldham, season long: Played the full 90 mins for Oldham on Saturday. The brief BBC match report makes no reference to any contribution made. This was a comeback game after not playing in the previous game (at a guess the manager's changing things around and trying to find a successful formula for their patchy start to the season)

Ryan Hardie - Plymouth, season long: Started and got subbed (for Dom Telford) after 76 mins. Played 3 league games and not yet scored as Plymouth went down 1-0 away at 100% Hull.

Joe Nuttall - Nothampton, season long: Was eased into the team the previous weekend, as a 54th min sub, after injury but didn't feature at all this weekend. I don't know why, I couldn't find anything on him as all the Northampton news was dominated by the exciting signing of a different striker.

Adi Yussuf - Wrexham, season long: Played the full 90 as the National League got underway with its first round of matches. Wrexham won 2-1 at home to Boreham Wood. No mention of Yussuf was made in the BBC match report.

Nathan Shaw - AFC Fylde, season long; Fylde are due to start their league campaign tomorrow evening at home to Darlington.

Not bad, but Heneghan was never our player. Try Edwards instead.

Tranmere Rovers Football Club can tonight confirm two first team players have tested positive for Covid-19.

The two players were not involved in today’s game at Salford City, and are now self-isolating. The players’ identities will remain anonymous, but the Club can confirm they are both in good health.

As a consequence of the two positive cases, a number of first team players have also gone into self-isolation due to their close contract with the two players. Furthermore, another player has had to self isolate due to an unconnected track and trace notification. The identities of all of the players involved will remain anonymous.

Shaw came on as a second half sub for Fylde and nearly scored.

I know that ex 'Pool player Phylliskirk is at Fylde but it also looks like that Tollitt is playing for them.

Have a gander. Unless there's another Tollitt knocking about it must be him, Ben Tollitt:-

Good thread this and for those who like keeping up-to-date with footy matters, it'll be a long, slow burner that continues over the course of the season.

Wasn't sure about Tollitt.

Cheers.

Good work Red.

This kind of research is interesting for us and takes a long time to do.

We have to keep tabs on this stuff. The club would be pilloried for loaning out a diamond and we need to know if anyone is developing and worth the offer of a new contract.

Pedantic mode. Joe Nuttall isn't on the list of loanees. As far as I understand, his loan to Northampton hasn't been terminated but he can be taken off ours as he is back at Blackpool for treatment and rehab on a knee problem.
