Given that we are all getting carried away, would you want to go up via the playoffs, if we were not allowed to be at the games to enjoy it? How frustrating would be another Wembley triumph, indeed would it be worth it if we are not there on the day? Being in the prem is no fun, the joy is getting there, but watching an empty stadium, knowing that doesn't happen many times in your life would be really frustrating. Imagine if Zamora day was without spectators.

I think I could live with it.

If that was the case I would willingly buy an expensive copy of your book

Are you actually saying that if you can’t be there, you’d rather the club missed out ?

Just saying this would be the worst possible year to get promoted. Imagine Oldham at home semi final with no fans. I would certainly delay a year if that were an option.

It wouldn’t be an option though. If the opportunity is there the club has to take it whether there are fans or not.

Of course it's not an option (and we aren't going up anyway) but would you rather wait a year in order to be there?

It's the financial security it would bring even if it were for one season.

Don't think we get the luxury of that choice unfortunately.

Not being allowed to attend matches is obviously frustrating but there is never a bad time to get promoted.

Nobody could turn down the financial rewards of a return to the Premier league. I pretty much doubt that Lee hoos would allow a repeat of the previous disasters.

10,000 will be allowed at Wembley, enter that ballot now!

I don't think it will happen and I'm happy to stay up, which now looks more probable.

But I think they could do without my usual patter...

What was that?
Why? Just why?
He's just occupying a shirt?
He'll get a f*cking parking ticket if he doesn't move soon.
Mark up for f*ck sake.
It's basic stuff and you're not do it.

I'm sure they'll really miss that.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

Can we just take the money but stay in the division please?

Not being there on 16:44 - Feb 22 with 1813 viewsdaveB

I'm not going to turn down the chance if it comes along but it would be crap to win something and not be there for it.

If we can finish top 10 I'll be ecstatic with that, good season but not that good that I feel I've missed out and typing that I realise how selfish that is but i doubt I am alone in thinking this way

/ This

Fcuking hated the majority of our recent time in the prem where success is measured by hoping and praying there are three teams worse than you.

Week after week of defeats interspersed with the occasional distraction like beating 9 men scum and and the bin dippers, not all it's cracked up to be imo

Pretty much had this conversation walking out of Wembley!
Neither of us were looking forward to the following season and we were proved right.

Joking aside - assuming its not us - 10,000 in Wembley is going to be a bit weird!

i went a few years back for my father in laws local team North Shields in the FA Vase, was about 15,000 there and was really odd, felt like watching a game in the park

Plus there's VAR which really kills the game.

No, we're not going to be there and neither is the team.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Don't worry, we'll probably lose on Wednesday, and we can all go back into meltdown on here

I've been there for the finals day - 2 finals in one day.

Was there as a neutral (freebie ref tickets!) and it was weird watching 2 sets of fans troop out and then another 2 sets troop in again.

Good watch though - the 'star' was Arca who was still playing 'non league' at the age of about 75 or some such!

Thinking about it Dave - wasn't he playing for North Shields?
