Neil Critchley will be tempted to name an unchanged starting XI after Blackpool's impressive victory at Charlton on Saturday.
Despite squandering a two-goal lead late on against Sunderland on Saturday, Crewe manager David Artell isn't likely to make too many alterations to his starting XI.
Match Facts:
Blackpool have drawn their last 3 matches against Crewe in all competitions.
Blackpool have kept a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7 home matches (League One).
Blackpool have won 6 of their last 7 home matches (League One).
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Blackpool's last 8 home games (League One).
Blackpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches against Crewe in all competitions.
Prediction:
While Blackpool remain six points behind the playoff places, the Seasiders are peaking at the right time and racked up a third win on the bounce and fifth in six matches at Charlton on Saturday. The hosts have only conceded twice in that period, and with teams like Doncaster and Accrington dropping points above them, there might well be a window of opportunity for the Bloomfield Road outfit to capitalise on.
But Crewe, who arrive in Lancashire one point ahead of Blackpool, are also in the race for the top-six, although conceding a last-gasp equaliser against Sunderland last time out, was a hammer blow to their chances. Alexandra's downfall has been their away form, with each of their last five defeats coming on their travels.
Blackpool 1 - 0 Crewe

Blackpool welcome Crewe Alexandra to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday evening, looking to continue their rich vein of form.
The Seasiders are the form side in Sky Bet League One heading into the game, winning their last three league games, having also not conceded a goal since the defeat at Ipswich Town at the start of last month.
Neil Critchley’s side also boast a strong home record, with six victories from their last seven league games at Bloomfield Road. You have to go back to October since Blackpool last lost a league match on home turf, in a narrow 1-0 loss to Charlton.
The Seasiders made amends at the weekend for that home defeat to the Addicks, dispatching Charlton by three goals to nil in their own backyard, thanks to a brace from Jerry Yates and a long-range strike from Matty Virtue.
Crewe, meanwhile, have impressed this season and are fighting to make the play-offs come the end of the campaign. The Railwaymen sit 11th in the league table — two places and one point above Blackpool, though the Seasiders do have four games in hand.
Team News:
Daniel Gretarsson and Gary Madine continue their recovery from long-term injuries. James Husband will be assessed ahead of the game after pulling up with an injury in the warm-up at Charlton Athletic.
Last Time We Met:
Blackpool secured a point at Gresty Road in the reverse fixture back in October. Mikael Mandron gave Crewe the lead before Grant Ward’s first goal for the Club secured a point on the road.
The Key Player: Oliver Finney
With eight goals to his name from a midfield position already this season, 23-year-old Oliver Finney has impressed for David Artell’s side this season. A product of their Academy to have progressed into the first-team, Finney is a staple of the Crewe side and scored crucial goals this season including a 90th minute winner at AFC Wimbledon back in December.
Neil Critchley:
“The fact that Crewe gained promotion so well last season and are now competing in this division is a real testament to how well David Artell and his coaching staff have done at the Club.
“The players have adapted well to playing at League One level and they’ve had two excellent results lately in beating Accrington and drawing with Sunderland, so it shows the ability that Crewe have within their squad.”
