Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs to welcome supporters

The EFL can confirm that the Sky Bet Play-Off Semi-Finals and Finals will see a return of supporters in the Championship, League One and League Two.

Further to the Government’s announcement outlining that the country will move to Step 3 on its COVID-19 roadmap from 17 May, Clubs will now be able to legally welcome fans back into EFL stadia for these vital fixtures, marking another welcome milestone along the road to full return of fans.

EFL Clubs will now determine with the relevant local Safety Advisory Groups the exact number of supporters that will be able to attend each fixture in line with national guidelines. Announcements on ticketing will be made by individual Clubs in due course.

The League and its Clubs remain in proactive advanced discussions with the Welsh Government in respect of supporters permitted to attend the home legs of both Swansea City and Newport County’s respective Play-Off Semi-Finals. We are confident a successful outcome will be achieved shortly, and we will look to confirm as soon as possible.

Given the operational challenges Clubs would face hosting both home and away supporters, it has been agreed that there will be no away fans in attendance during the Sky Bet EFL Play-Off Semi-Finals.

Fans of eventual Play-Off Finalists will be permitted to attend the EFL’s showpiece Sky Bet Play-Off Finals scheduled to kick off at the end of the month.

EFL Chief Executive, Trevor Birch said: “We are delighted to welcome back fans for the Sky Bet Play-Offs which will be fantastic for our competition and another significant step towards the EFL’s aspiration of having full stadia at the start of next season. Discussions remain ongoing with the Welsh Government in respect of the position in Wales, but all parties appreciate the importance of seeing fans return for these games.

“Over the course of the past 12 months, our Clubs have implemented stringent protocols and have worked tirelessly to overcome unprecedented challenges this campaign. Fans’ return at this climax of the season is just reward for Semi-Finalist Clubs who will now use their significant expertise in crowd management to ensure supporters can enjoy a safe and enjoyable return to their much-loved home grounds.

“We are thankful to all those who have helped ensure fans will be able to support their Clubs in important fixtures through the Semi-Finals and we look forward to welcoming fans in yet greater numbers at the Play-Off Finals.”

Ticket Details: Play-Off Semi-Final Second Leg

Club Announces Plans For Return of Supporters vs Oxford United

Blackpool Football Club is pleased to announce plans for the return of supporters at its Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final, second leg against Oxford United, to be played on Friday 21 May, kick-off 7.45pm.

In line with the phased lifting of lockdown restrictions to Step 3 in the country, the Club has been permitted to open up Bloomfield Road again at 25 per cent of capacity for the fixture.

Priority purchase, therefore, will be given to all current season ticket holders, with an exclusive period to buy tickets running from 9am on Thursday 13 May until 5pm on Monday 17 May.

The Club can confirm that tickets will be priced as follows:

£20 for Adults
£18 for Seniors (65+)
£10 for Under-18s
Seats have already been allocated within family/social bubbles to comply with social distancing requirements across all four sides of the stadium. Please be aware that it may not be possible to guarantee your usual seat or place in a chosen stand.

To remain compliant with Covid safety measures, no upgrades or exchanges will be considered for this game.

HOW TO PURCHASE:

Print at home tickets will be utilised for this play-off match and will be the only method of entry into the stadium.

Tickets must be purchased online at www.eticketing.co.uk/blackpoolfc

You will receive your ticket to print via email, which will be attached as a PDF. Should you not receive your ticket, then please check your spam/junk folder prior to contacting the Club.

Please ensure that you have your season ticket client reference available at the time of booking. The Club will be emailing season ticket holders with this information before the sales period begins.

Alternatively, you can email tickets@blackpoolfc.co.uk with your query and contact details. A member of staff will respond accordingly.

Existing Club partners and corporate clients will be contacted separately.

Please do not attend the stadium without a match ticket.

SHOP OPENING HOURS:

Thursday 13 May — 9am until 5pm
Friday 14 May — 9am until 5pm
Saturday 15 May — 9am until 5pm
Sunday 16 May — Closed
Monday 17 May — 9am until 5pm.

Please be aware of Covid-19 safety protocols when visiting the shop, specifically wearing a face covering and continuing to observe social distancing.

SAFETY MEASURES:

A Code of Conduct for attending a fixture at a socially distanced stadium was in place for the pilot game against Swindon Town earlier this season. The Code will remain in place and can be accessed by clicking here. Supporters will also receive the Code with their print at home ticket.

The Club would also like to remind all supporters that the use of any pyrotechnic device (flares, smoke bombs and fireworks) is strictly prohibited within the stadium and strong action will be taken in the event of any such devices being found on any person inside the stadium.

ADDITIONAL TICKET SALES:

Should any tickets remain available for sale following Monday’s season ticket holder deadline, then further details will be communicated from Tuesday.

Thank-you for your continued support throughout the season. We can’t wait to welcome you back home to Bloomfield Road.

Supporter reaction.

Mackem meltdown.

I didn't know what page to start the link from so I chose the slightly sexual number of 169.

Some of the highlights (just a small sample, there's much much more):

I really feel for the 10k Sunderland fans on Saturday, it's going to be a frustrating day, mind you I think they could be cheered up if all the players take their shirts off after the game and throw them at that little t**t Johnson if we are out of the play offs

Every f*****g opportunity we get to do something good we fxxx it up completely.
Those players need a f***ing violent hour-long shakedown after that s**tshow.

An embarrassment to the club, the fans and the city. P*** off elsewhere the lot of ya. Tactically clueless manager and spineless players with no heart or fight in them. God help them in front of 10,000 fans on Saturday.!

Burge is dogs**t

I really hope we dont re sign him (Wyke). He will never again have a season like this season . Hes f*****g s**t . All he did was give away fouls time and time again today.
- sell him to any mug who doesnt look beyond the goal tally
- He will never score thirty in a season again and I’m confident he won’t score 30 goals in the rest of his league career

Honestly man, what a s**t show

Saturday, please ,no Power,no Wyke. Start with Maguire,Diamond for pace. One plan score as many as we can. Even so ,let's be honest,we are 4k*n sh**e. No defence,no midfield and no ideas. Said the same weeks ago. Will never change style .So predictable. We need a miracle to motivate this shower.

What happened to the coming out of the traps like greyhounds?
- He must have been talking about the one on its last legs in every Sunderland dogs race.

The idea that champo teams are looking at Wyke man. lmao
- Snap their hands off!
- TAXI!!!!

Useless c-**s.
we have to be the most downtrodden fans In the country. Jesus
- I honestly feel sorry for us, I truly do - we don't deserve this s*** (and that's not deluded, it's a fact).
- I feel like Ive been assaulted after watching that.
