Seasiders' head coach pinpoints one factor that gives him optimism for the new season...https://t.co/RgBn312iNO

‘Where there is harmony, may we bring discord. Where there is truth, may we bring error. Where there is faith, may we bring doubt. And where there is hope, may we bring despair’
🎥 “(Neil Critchley - #Blackpool head coach) is a very genuine and nice guy. He cares about the team more than himself. When you have a manager with the personality he has you trust him. We love him here"

Even though we'd miss out on a shed load of compo, I still wouldn't mind some sort of handshake deal meaning that Critchley wants to be here:
Exclusive: Blackpool lining up new contract for influential senior figure
Blackpool are plotting a new contract for manager Neil Critchley as they bid to secure his long-term future, Football League World can exclusively reveal.
The Tangerines have enjoyed great fortune under Critchley since his arrival, with him helping them into the Sky Bet Championship after winning the Sky Bet League One play-off final last season at Wembley.
Indeed, it’s certainly been a positive period in the club’s modern history, particularly after what had gone before, and it is now the case that the Seasiders want to reward the former Liverpool employee with a new long-term deal, Football League World understands.
Critchley currently has around 18 months left on his present contract with the club but his work has naturally attracted admirers from further than Bloomfield Road, and Simon Sadler is eager to get an extension sorted for him with that in mind, ideally before the turn of the year at the end of next month.
Certainly, you could not argue that Critchley does not deserve such a reward for his work over the last couple of years, with Blackpool playing an attractive style of football and more than holding their own in the second tier this season, with them currently just a point outside the play-off places.

We were getting messed about bu the likes of Karl Robinson, Nathan Jones, and even Ritchie Wellens when Grayson got sacked.
Sadler jetted back to sort it all out and made an inspired appointment.
Critchley's going to see it all come to fruition: the stadium, trainig ground, youth system etc. It'll be fu seeing how far he can take us when all that's bearing fruit.

Thoughts following the youth team win against Newcastle:
It's been mocked from time to time but now seeing the similar style in which the youth team plays when compared to the first team, I reckon we can say that there is what can be known as "a Blackpool way of doing things".
Plaudits to Critchley and the coaching staff for giving the playing side of the club this identity.
Also off the pitch. There's a distinctiveness the way which the conducts itself. A Blackpool way both on and off the field of play.

Ben Mansford: "What we’ve achieved over the last two years – considering the challenges we’ve faced, from legacy issues to Covid to acclimatising to life in the Championship – it’s just quite remarkable.
