It's been a quiet start to the window, with no ins or outs. But as Michael Appleton settles into the head coach role, things should begin to heat up soon.

BFC could've signed Brannaan and a right back and Appleton could have brought his own men in straight away. This hasn't happened.
We've appointed Appleton eventually and he's taken some time to assess the squad. 1 week isn't a long time to do that but he's had to weigh the job up as quickly as possible under the circumsances.
I think the situation's been well played by both the club and Appleton.
The club haven't made any rash moves by signing players not favoured by the management.
Appleton's done well to give the existing squad the once over before bringing in his own players.
The trigger hasn't been pulled until everyone has an idea of what's required.
I'd expect movement by the middle / end of this week.

Biggest bid for Jack Rudoni in this window has been around £500k + add-ons. Sunderland and Huddersfield have both made bids. Bristol City and Blackpool are also interested. #afcw

We didn't end up getting anyone in before going to the Scottish training camp.
The squad's away for a week so if anyone signs this week they'll only be able to join up with their new team mtyes next Monday at the earliest. That's less than 2 weeks before the start of the season.
Not ideal.
The first match against Reading is important.

With the injuries we've got, I can see us having to use the loan market more than last season

Firstly, the player in the photo passing the ball isn't Dor Perez.
This is him:
It seems as though Perez is a defensive midfielder. Appleton's supposed to favour playing with 1 holding in the middle and we've got Dougall, Connolly, Stewart and even Virtue. Perhaps he's a big improvement on what we already have but it's really not a prority position.
Also we've got a fully functional recruitment team who are supposedly in the process of spotting the next Bowler / Grimshaw. I'm suspicious because of Perez's previous Maccabi Tel Aviv links to Mansford.
Put this down to a Mr 10% agent putting a story around to whip up interest for his client.

The Seasiders had been linked with the goalscoring midfielder, but it appears he's about to move elsewherehttps://t.co/gWzY6Xebwb

With 18 days until the season kicks off, Blackpool are just one of two Championship clubs yet to make a signing.
In one respect that's a good thing, the foundations are already there. But, as I'm sure we all accept, there needs to be more quality.https://t.co/HEAt4q8Q7Z

Dele -Bashiru fits the profile. As a rumour, I'd attach more weight to this than the Israelien player. About the sizeable fee - how long's Dele-Bashiru got left on his contract and how much did we offer for Brannagan? We payed £750k for Gabriel.
OMG for Lewis-Potter.

I'm always sceptical when news of bids are leaked. It's already public knowledge that Wednesday are keen to tie him down to a new contract...https://t.co/NqNt13o8Sa
