Ben Goodliffe in a surprise move has departed on loan to Southend. We have loanee Jack Tucker from MK Dons and are due to sign another defender from West Ham but Michael Forbes is currently injured.
Port Vale will offer a challenge tonight but provided DC is bold and plays two up top I can see us defeating them 2-0. They are without Mitchell Clark who was sent off against Chesterfield at the weekend.
Darren Moore is the man at the helm and they have good Away record. I watched the Burnley v Leeds game last night which ended 0-0 best defence v best attack. But it was a war of attrition and neither side looked like breaking the deadlock.
Tonight, we need to show the creativity in the final third to score the important goals.

Wish I had chosen Swindon v Tranmere. Tranmere led until the final minutes. Good news for us, two key Tranmere defenders sent off (so not available on Saturday) as they fall to a demoralising 3-1 defeat.

Back to our game being called off. How embarrassing. There has been loads of rain over the whole of the country from the latest storms, of which we hardly got anything in comparison. We were the only game called off in the EFL, after all the work done to the drainage, which was done to supposedly to stop games being called off due to waterlogging. It is embarrassing, and also shows a lack of respect for the players and especially the supporters (home and away) who make their arrangements to attend the match and then find it's called off. At least it was postponed earlier than on some occasions last season. It's not good enough. We deserve better. | | | |
