Thanks Colin. I hadn't come across them before. The Dan influence is immediately recognisable, isn't it? I'd like to listen to some more. What would you say is their best album?

I have all 4 albums. I like Friday the best followed by Headquarters and Left. The most recent is Remember. It's OK, but not as Dan-ish as the first 3. They're Canadians and a fine band. Fagen endorses them.

Just returned from a business trip to Texas, and Austin is these days (at least unofficially) the live music capital of the world.
This lot aren't together as a band anymore, but have some great credentials, including the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan's rhythm section, and 3 well known local veterans of the session music scene.
If you like hard rockin' blues with a touch of country rock, I heartily recommend checking these guys out:

Ten years on from their last album, Echolyn are back. This is brand new, and in my humble opinion, is a beautifully crafted slice of rock/prog.
