Nico H. would be outraged at such a destination!

Good luck to them: big moves for different reasons.

Indeed, Nico's only solace would be a few good surfing waves.

In Morecambe Bay?

The sea is so shallow and goes out so far, you ought to be able to walk to Ireland.

Eh? Nico H spent a season on loan at Kilmarnock…..anyone who has ever been to Kilmarnock knows it’s not somewhere you go with a weak stomach.

To be fair, I wouldn't blame them for trying.

I've seen the pictures Morecombe put out, the pair of them look absolutely thrilled to be there!
I love Morecombe Bay, I often try to get to Heysham (iom ferry) early so I can drive over and have a look. There or Sunderland Point, but you can trapped by the tide at the latter.
I really wouldn't advise walking too far put on the shifting sands of Morecombe Bay, though.

Find it a bit odd he didn’t get a loan higher up and now the deadline has passed to it has to be non-league that there weren’t better options. Would’ve loved him at the not so mighty Borehamwood. He should tear it up.

If he is capable of being in the first team then he should be superb for them, I’m really interested to see how he gets on as he has massive potential.
I think EDB may have found his level, but we shall see as a few managers have looked at him. It’s good that they are both there and can hopefully play together. They have a few other loans too .

Thats two good signings for them I reckon, Sutton looks very fast/confident and has T looked out of place in our first team abd hopefully EDB can fulfil his obvious potential (cos it definitely looks like it isnt happening here)

I think this is the point though. It seems like other clubs perceive the EDS to be miles off first team level in League 1 and even 2, let alone Championship standard. The idea that players from that EDS side would be able to step into the first team this season, even towards the end, is being shown up for what it was: extremely fanciful. Doesn’t mean the strategy of investing there is wrong, just that there is a gulf and it’s probably 2 years of loans, one at non-league, then one in L1 or L2…then ready to challenge in the first team squad.

Absolutely

There will always be the odd young superstar exception but mainly these prospects need to learn via the school of hard knocks.
I’d love our decent lads to be joining Wycombe or Stevenage as has proved so successful previously but they can’t all do that.

Good luck to both

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Yeah, to put it in context, they've also just brought in a 19yr old Albanian from Arsenal, who has 1 full international cap.

Interesting taking a look at the Morecambe squad and how careers play out.

Former LFW match report fave Admiral Muskwe is there at only 27 having been a (not very good) part of the Luton side that went up. Ludwig Francilette who I was actually vaguely impressed with during his time at Crawley (localish side) seems to be there at 26 and Gwion Edwards who played a lot of champ footy for Ipswich is also there though at 32 so on the wind down.

Raheem Conte formerly of this manor also looking to build a career there.

Good luck to Emerson - look forward to following how he goes.
