| ROB ELMS - FREEDOM of the CITY of LONDON on 20:04 - Sep 25 with 6158 views | stowmarketrange | Does that mean he can now take his sheep over London Bridge? I’ll have to look out for them at the Barbican on my walk from Liverpool st before the Oxford game on Wednesday. | | | |

| ROB ELMS - FREEDOM of the CITY of LONDON on 21:25 - Sep 25 with 5848 views | DWQPR | Well done to Robert Elms. My dearly missed Mum was also a Freeman, for which she was very proud to be, and a proper cockney born within the sound of Bow Bells. For her 80th birthday I got here a place on the annual Woolman’s Guild Sheep Drive, which allowed her to drive a flock of sheep across London Bridge, which as a Freeman Robert Elms also now has that right to do. I love the history of our great city and Peter Ackroyd, who is quoted at the top of Robert Elms’ book has written some stunning books on its history. All worth the read. | |

It’s lovely to revisit a book now and then. “This constantly changing city is happy to shed its skin of brick and stone for steel and glass.” | |

| ROB ELMS - FREEDOM of the CITY of LONDON on 00:29 - Sep 26 with 5370 views | DylanP | What does “Freedom of the City of London” actually mean? In my imagination it means you can drive on the pavement, run around stark bollock naked, sing off-key at the top of your lungs on the tube, and, indeed, walk your sheep across London Bridge. But I dare say there is a real meaning. | |
