World CUp Boycott 11:00 - Oct 25 with 2525 viewswillis1980

Although we had similar before the last euros now toure is contemplating a boycott of 2018 wc, its seems that both of the choices of venues after brazil are proving less than popular with some. it wouldnt surprise me if this competiton fizzles out after the pigs ear that is yet to be made by fifa

Not a hope in hell of this happening, the WC is a showcase for many of the 'smaller' footballing nations and for its players to get those very very lucrative contracts on offer from European clubs.

FIFA may pay a bit more than lip service and close a few more stands down at clubs where 'racist' chants are clearly audible but black players and the countries they represent do not have the power base to have more than token punishments meted out, if European countries were to pull out a very different story.

No way will the World Cup fizzle out. It is the most popular sporting event in the world. Has the widest audience and most viewers. My guess is that only a very small percentage are even aware of the Qatar debacle. FIFA may get a black eye as a result of their stupidity and corruptness. But the long-term viabiilty of the World Cup is in no doubt.

You'd need a major team to pull out like Germany, Brazil or Argentina or possibly Spain to get Fifa taking stuff seriously. Anyone else like Cameroon, England or the rest really would just get laughed at and shown the door.

You'd have to think this is the duck swimming: not much happening apparently, but loads happening unseen.
