Jerry Yates is in this week's team.

Is he the first Blackpool player this season to make the line up?

Think Hamilton made the team after the Swindon match.

‘Where there is harmony, may we bring discord. Where there is truth, may we bring error. Where there is faith, may we bring doubt. And where there is hope, may we bring despair’

Arsenal’s talented youngster makes Team of the Week with loan club

Arsenal loanee Daniel Ballard made The Football League Paper’s League One Team of the Week for the last round of matches with Blackpool.

The Football League Paper posted their latest Team of the Week (technically called Team of the Day as all 12 fixtures were played on Saturday) with an Arsenal loanee involved, as Daniel Ballard’s performance for Blackpool earned him recognition.

Ballard was making his first start since mid-January for Blackpool, against tough opposition in Portsmouth. He helped his side keep a clean sheet with seven clearances, one interception, and two tackles, without being dribbled past once.

nterestingly, Blackpool used him as a right-centre-back on the day, a change from the majority of the season so far when they’ve deployed him on the left.

If he ends up getting a run of games on that side, it could be useful for his chances on return to Arsenal, given that’s where there’s a real opening.

As you may be aware, Ballard has already made himself a regular at international level. He started five of Northern Ireland’s six UEFA Nations League group games in defence.

The 21-year-old has had some injury problems holding him back for the last year or two, but he’s taking his opportunities when he gets them at the moment.
