What on earth was going on in the North Stand today? 19:37 - Mar 21 with 1781 viewsOsbourne

Osbourne was sitting in the West Stand. Therefore Osbourne was a long way away, but Osbourne did not like what he saw.............................at all.

What did happen?

Should have gone to AFC Blackpool Ozzie, great atmosphere, beer while watching the game, and we actually watched a team in Tangerine win FFS.

Osbourne enjoys watching all standards of football.

AFC Fylde doing well this season too.

Scratcher, from where Osbourne was sitting today in the West stand, goings on in the North Stand did not look pretty. Not at all.

It seems some rough Yorkshire fellows outsmarted the Oyston custodians and infiltrated the North Stand. A melee ensued.

If I may interject for a moment Since1967.
Fisticuffs certainly did occur between the opposing factions but after a period of time the football club's representatives quelled the fracas and peace once again reigned at the Northern Grandstand.
I hope Osbourne is satisfied with the outcome.

In the North Stand, the stewards took the decision to eject the infiltrators. In the South and East, literally hundreds of Leeds fans were allowed to cross over into their end, despite it being sold out.

Why? Consistency should have seen them all out, surely?

According to the gazette today, Leeds fans sitting in the wrong areas of Bloomfield Road on Saturday were in possession of Blackpool season tickets or tickets issued to Blackpool supporters who had a previous buying record at Blackpool FC.

Quite a large article on it in Wednesdays Gazette.

Osbourne would suggest, that on a day when both Leeds and Blackpool supporters were meant to be in unison in a joint protest about the owners of both clubs. It was a pity that rivalries could not be put to one side for the day to benefit the various protests going on.

There you go though, unfortunately the incidents occurred. The only bright side to it is that there were no arrests and no one was seriously injured. Certainly the person being taken away on a stretcher looked worrying.

Pity it happened. Leeds fans were large in numbers, they always are, wherever Leeds play away. They were vocal and on occasions showed humour in their songs. They are serious supporters. Just a pity it happened.
