Society has evolved considerably in the last 20 years. We now have a more finely tuned moral compass.

I am not sure how we can apply today's standards retrospectively in these cases and how far back it is fair to go..

Individuals, companies even countries have changed. There are many instances of such injustices in the world..which hopefully we continue to learn from but surely we have to judge people's actions against the age in which they happened.

The 80's is now part of history, not the world's finest hour looking back but part of the journey to who we are today.

Sorry Lala I think senility is setting in with me. I read the article as happened in the 80's / 90's.

Yes these actions would have reflected the corporate thinking of an earlier time. One it is reasonable to think we had moved on from.
