Jordan Jones?
at 12:03 3 Aug 2020

Various outlets reporting Warbs 'Warby' Warburton is interested in bringing in Jordan Jones from Rangers. Out of contract - winger / number 10 sort of thing. Looks like Preston fancy him too.

What Went Wrong?

The rage has dissipated somewhat, leaving me with just the questions / confusion.

I can't work this out. What has happened to the team? I get the 'on the beach' sentiment but I'm not sure I buy it. There's something else going on there.

According to the BBC, that's when we might see the Championship return.

Public Support Key Workers

As many of you know, my better half is a Nurse and it was lovely to hear so many people at their doors showing their support. I was really moved after hearing the whole village lining up to give her the clap.

Ramkilde

We're signing a Danish forward called Marco Ramkilde according to Dave Mac on WLS.

No idea whether he's any good but the name seems to ring a bell.

Stick It Up The Brum - Match Thread
at 10:09 29 Feb 2020

Haven't done one this season due to my astonishingly poor record. A worse record than William Shatner's 1969 'The Transformed Man'.

You watched it. You can't unwatch it.

Anyway, I have consulted the runes, sacrificed a Bernard Matthews turkey drummer on the altar of diabolism and looked at Ceefax (i.e. the Dorset web) and have concluded that all the signs point to a a 3-1 QPR win. BOS to score first.

What a time to be alive. A QPR team that did not include Wells, Manning, Leistner, Amos, Hall, Barbet, Angel, Lumley or, whisper it quietly, Eze producing not just a win but a thrashing in the FA Cup! And for our next trick, here are three U23s!

I think we've finally worked off the bad karma incurred after Les wrecked the Blue Peter garden.

International Breaks
at 10:33 14 Oct 2019

I don't like them. The football ones, I mean, not the holidays which are pretty cool.

International teams are alright but I find I just can't get worked up about qualification campaigns in groups where we are always drawn against:
* 1 half decent team
* Lower Slobovia
* Glorious Republic of Kremlinistan
* Melchester Rovers
* St Winifred's Primary Second XI

No wonder our recent U23 game against Charlton got mosre discussion than Engerland's recent outing.

I am pretty sure that are but I feel like one of those ladies off Jeremy Kyle who keep going back to Wayne because 'he's changed'. I keep waiting for the inevitable domestic, precipitated by him coming home smelling of Chelsea.

Pendulous Thinking
at 10:40 20 Jul 2019

Reasons to be cheerful:
Lynch plays for someone else. Or doesn't. I mean, really, who cares?
Freeman has gone but at least won't be back to tear us a new one twice this season.
A couple of the signings this season look like decent long-term bets. I think Masterson could be a pretty good mid-term prospect that could net the club a few quid.
Shodipo and BOS on the same field. Mmmm, pacey.

Reasons to be fearful:
Freeman has gone. And so, naturally, everyone who plays his position this year will be described as 'not as good as Freeman' by the barely hominid, milk-fed gimps that inhabit Twitter.
We still, unaccountably, pay Sean Goss to do something. Does anyone actually know what that is?
We haven't quite found a 30-goal per season striker, that nobody else knows about, who will work for food.
Split centrebacks playing out from the back: 'Kill it! Kill it with fire!' (This also applies to short corners).
