JCS…..a man who “didn’t care” and was “faking injuries” according to some. Huge game and he stood up. I think it was one of best defensive performances I’ve seen at qpr. Quality player. I think he’s also the “right sort”. Questions on his personality were out of order. |

I think we can all go crazy wondering about Preston. They won’t rest players but they also know they are out of the playoffs now. But I think all teams in this league will put up a fight. What’s more important is We got beat 3-0 too, so I hope our players have a reaction on Saturday. |

Ok, yeah I agree 1 win and a draw. But I do think we could be playing Coventry when they are out of playoff contention and hopefully have a cup final to play. Also late kick offs at home on a Friday or Saturday should be good atmosphere. |

No. Dunne, Cook, JCS, Paal Back to the defence that has for the most part been our best. Not the time for panic. Frey for Dykes…..just for ours and his mental health. |

Kelman is 22 so he could improve and we may make some money. Unlikely…..but possible. If anyone can develop our players it’s Marti. |

Why does a club like qpr with our limited finances need a 3rd choice right back……especially one who will be 27 at start of next season. |

Without wanting to bring more doom, I think it’s last day of Ramadan. So firstly shame we didn’t the get Wednesday slot. But also, with sunset around 745 now, doesn’t this mean that Chair will have to at most be on the bench? Maybe eat when match kicks off and then get about 25 minutes from him. Hardly ideal in such a big game. |
| Forum Reply | That tackle by Clarke Salter at 06:52 3 Apr 2024
Why rightly so? He got injured. Before he came here he had injury concerns. I think questions on his character were wrong. He just needed to get fit. |
| Forum Reply | Marti Cifuentes at 08:48 31 Mar 2024
Well I’ll leave tactical analysis to those that know more about that then me but Marti’s taken a squad that was to some “bunch of wasters” and a club that needed an Ainsworth style kick up the arse to a team that’s now 4 points above the drop and creating some good memories for once. All the talk about nothing could be done with the squad and was “more than the manager” was all nonsense. It just needed a good coach who is also a good man manager. To me Marti is a bloody genius. With the exception of Richard’s, I can’t see any issues with this squad effort point of view. |

I think it depends on whether Leeds and Coventry have anything to play for. Also, Coventry will hopefully have a cup final on their minds. |

We now have a manager and a team to be proud of. That’s all we can ask for. |

Really good post. But I would say that I don’t really care whether he likes QPR or us. If his remit is to make us as a club better and more successful, then we just want him to be good at his job. If he does a good job, we will be a better club, win more games, develop players, make a profit (or is it a “sustainable loss” to meet our aims) and ultimately we’ll all be more happy because we want our club to be successful. Completely agree on how they should have organised this and the questions that could have been asked etc. |
| Forum Reply | New CEO meeting at 09:26 28 Feb 2024
Exactly. New CEO, new start. Let’s judge him on what he does not get worried about the past which has nothing to do with him. He’s managed to bring in some players, which we believe cost very little and I’d say every single one of them has improved us. It’s a good sign that he sits there and listens to fans. |
| Forum Reply | Willock at 09:55 26 Feb 2024
I do think people are too harsh on Willock. Firstly, we need him performing if we want to stay up, as proven on Saturday. Second, when we have done well or gone on a run, he’s invariably a major part of that. Third, hes a player who should be in the prime of his career. He’s had some pretty major hamstring injuries. The next time it goes, that might be his career over. He’s probably been mentally all over the shop and worried about it happening again and this being it. If he gets injured again and it’s career ending, what’s he do then? There’s a huge difference between a player not going 100% because he just can’t really be bothered and one who, to be honest, is scared he pushes to much and his career could be over. JCS is another one. It’s not his fault he’s had a lot of injuries. Thank goodness now he has put together a run of quite a few games. Like Willock both just in prime of careers and I would say ability-wise, they are right at the top of our squad and probably in the championship. We all know names of players who have taken the p.iss out of us and this club. But these 2 for me are no where near that. They’re relatively young lads, been unlucky with injuries but I firmly believe they want to try best for qpr and win games. The best thing is we now have a manager who can bring best out of them and trusts them. |
