Play to our strengths and go with a 3-2-4-1.
Gordon, Foden, Palmer, Saka, Watkins, Eze, Maddison, Bowen competing for the 4 attacking mid roles. Gibbs-White, Jones, Elliott options too.
Rice, Mainoo making up the 2 cm roles. Gallagher, Lewis could be options too.
Bellingham can do either depending on who you want to drop out.

I haven't seen this but I did read Duckett suggesting that England be given credit for other teams playing more aggressively. He may be right but I'd rather comments like that didn't come from our players, let others say it. This is my problem with Bazball/England at the moment, they do too much talking and need to bring a bit more brains and less brawn at times, we can't be aggressive all the time, have a bit of balance and game intelligence her and there. I'm a fan of our new approach, we just need to rein it in a bit at times. |

I had to laugh at that point. Whichever player of ours had the ball wanted to give it back to get on with the game but had to hold onto the ball waiting for Begovic to get back, I thought he was going to get booked for time wasting! |

Even if we stick with Paal/Chair on set-pieces why has no one in our side thought about making a run in front of the opposition player at the front post to flick the terrible set pieces on instead of watching it get cleared every time. |

I still think we need 2 strikers (if we can call them that) on the pitch to have any goal threat. Dykes and Armstrong should both be starting with Frey off the bench.
I'd also consider 3 at the back given how ineffective Paal and Cannon currently are. |

We need to have 2 forwards on the pitch to have any chance, as soon as we revert to 3 attacking midfielders behind a striker we lose all goal threat. |

Yeah we’re done imo, realistically having looked at remaining fixtures I struggle to see us finishing more than 40pts.
Even if a miracle occurred and we got an opportunity to rescue ourselves we’d only bottle it like again. Pathetic bunch of cowards. |

I kept an eye on Walsh's loan spell with Accrington and he seemed popular with their fans which is a good sign. I believe Mahoney was also well thought of at Swindon too. So that leaves us with 2 young GK's who have impressed at L2 level.
I quite like the idea of being able to let them fight it out for the No.1 spot next season with a capable and experienced GK in reserve ready to step in if necessary and to help them and Salamon/Cant develop. Maybe get Salamon out on loan if possible. But in reality they probably both need a loan at L1 level for a season (unless we go down ourselves!). |
