Yes, he’s back!

After hearing of Andy Haines’ assault on his Spotland record, Colin Webster probably contacted the Football League to request he be sent to referee another Dale home game as soon as possible.

His wishes have come true as this Saturday the Tyne & Wear official will take charge of Dale’s home game against Charlton for what will be the 16th match he has refereed at Spotland.

His most recent visit was last September when we defeated Walsall 3-2, thanks to goals from Josh Thompson, Anthony Elding and Gary Jones (pen).

Now in his 11th season on the league list, Colin has been a regular fixture at our games and Saturday will be his 19th Dale match in total, the full list being:

Mr Webster enjoyed a productive campaign last year, which ended in him refereeing the League 1 play-off final between Millwall and Swindon.

This season he has had 22 games, in which he has shown 62 yellow cards and three red.
