Young striker Dominic Poleon has agreed a new 2 1/2 year deal, however Luciano Becchio's future is less certain despite the official Leeds United website publishing a photograph of him training at Thorp Arch and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez refusing to be drawn on speculation linking him with a move to the DW Stadium.

Poleon emerged on the scene earlier this season scoring the winner in September against Forest before playing eight games on loan at Bury scoring twice. Poleon, 19 told the official Leeds website: "I'm glad to be tied down and commit my future here, hopefully I can push on now."

Poleon may well get another chance if Leeds do allow Luciano Becchio to move on, Becchio was pictured on the official lufc website training at a snowy Thorp Arch having recovered from his illness that kept him out of the FA Cup win against Birmingham City on Tuesday.

Wigan have been linked with a £4m move for the Argentine, however Roberto Martinez would not be drawn on the speculation saying:"We are looking for the right player, somebody that can help us. But the focus is on the players we already have here.

"I will never go into a position of mentioning names of other players that are involved with other football clubs. I don't think it is respectful. I don't like it when people do it about our players in the middle of a season and I would never do that."

Martinez also claimed he had no knowledge of Becchio being at Dean Court on Tuesday night to watch Wigan's FA Cup win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
