Former Dale manager Steve Eyre has been linked with a switch to Leeds United as part of the club's takeover by Massimo Cellino.

In a rather surprising turn of events, Eyre has been touted for a job at our FA Cup 3rd Round opponents following Cellino's appeal against failing the Fit and Proper Person test that the Football League insist upon for all new owners.

The Daily Mirror links Eyre as part of a coaching partnership with former Middlesboro defender Gianluca Festa who has been hanging around Elland Road since Cellino first showed an interest in the club.

Eyre is currently Senior Professional Development Officer at Huddersfield Town.
