Saturday, 13th Aug 2016 13:43 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

A 6th Premier League season is upon us and with it brings all the hope and expectations that football fans traditionally have at the start of the season.

It has been an interesting summer for the Swans with the departure of club captain Ashley Williams and Andre Ayew - scorer of so many goals last time around.

But incoming was the permanent capture of Leroy Fer, Mike Van Der Hoorn, Fernando Llorente and club record signing Borja Baston to make for a new look Swans this season.

Here at Planet Swans we are well aware that we have not been at our best covering the Swans over the past six months but with a new season comes a new steel and we will be with the Swans every step of the journey this time around.

So what can you expect from the busiest unofficial Swans website there is over the course of the coming season?

Matchdays

On match days we will come into our own with our coverage of the games. You will be able to follow the games on our matchday threads where you can discuss the game with fans all over the world. And then we will bring you the views after the game with our match report feature as well as some of the very best match pictures that you will find anywhere.

You can interact yourselves after the game as well with our player ratings feature where you can rate the players on their performances during the match and of course you can share your thoughts with our 'report' feature that allows you to submit what you are thinking on the game.

And then there are those all important after match comments - how did we and the opposition men see the game? You will be able to find out here

And that is without mentioning our lively forum where you will be able to share your thoughts and views with the many users who frequent the Planet Swans forums

Weekdays

We will be on hand to bring you all the news from the Liberty Stadium including news on tickets, fixtures, injuries, transfer rumours and basically anything you need to know about Wales only Premier League team.

And we will do it all with our slant on how we see the news and what impact it could have in the long run.

Finally there will be look backs to the last fixture and ahead to the next one giving you plenty to think about along the way.

Fixture Build Up

The build up to a fixture always gets people thinking and you can interact with the site not just via the forums but by using our team selector feature as well as enter our free to enter prediction league to see if you can be the best predictor that Planet Swans have.

Planet Swans (and jack army.net as its predecessor) has been covering and following the Swans for over 16 years now and in that time has grown to be one of the largest independent fan sites on the internet and this season we aim to prove exactly why to you.
