Dale welcome Premiership side Bolton Wanderers to Spotland this Saturday, with Owen Coyle expected to bring a first choice side fresh from their visit to Canada.

Admission to all areas of the ground is £12 for adults and £6 for concessions in what is Dale's first of just two games taking place at Spotland in the build up to the League One campaign.

All eyes will be on the new signings of Joe Widdowson, John-Louis Akpa Akpro and Brian Barry-Murphy as for what will be for many supporters the first opportunity to see them in action in Dale colours.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle's last visit to Spotland was a pre-season friendly with Bolton back in 1993 when the Trotters recorded an entertaining 4-3 victory. The Dale goals came from Andy Flounders, Andy Thackeray and an own goal from Mark Seagraves.

Kick off is at 3pm.

Syke_Dale added 15:07 - Jul 23 Why couldn't they make it £10 for adults and £5 for concessions?? Admittedly the difference is only £2 and £1 respectively, but IMO it's off putting to many people. It's a psychological thing, if an adult goes to the game with two kids then it's an even £20 instead of £28, surely the club can see that the number of fans that WOULD attend the game on a £10/£5 basis would off-set the loss against the fans that MAY attend on a £12/£6 basis..

Mass_Debater added 19:31 - Jul 23 It will make very little difference in my view. The number of people who may go at £12/£6 won't be that much different to those who will go at £10/£5. Certainly not enough to offset costs, anyway. Also, police and stewards will still need paying, as will all other staff. I don't believe the club are in a good enough financial position to perhaps suffer a loss. Why are they so skint? Hornets, an under-performing commercial department, etc. And where do you get £28 from? Surely an adult & 2kids is 12+6+6=24

Dalenet added 21:55 - Jul 23 I don't think £12 is that much of an issue. It was £6 last week to watch a pub team. £12 to watch a Premiership team is good value. And remember the ticket price includes VAT - so the club barely take £10!! We can't whinge that we are always broke and then not expect to pay a fair price to see a game. I thought it was only Hornets fans that expected to pay less than the cost of running the game.
