We made hard work of it again but great to win it so late on. Watched in Portugal whilst on holiday thanks to Saints Player. If we can beat Preston it sets up an interesting last few games. I'll be at Cardiff and then Leicester with my Leicester supporting son in law. Play offs still look most likely but you never know. Beat WBA again then Leeds or Norwich at Wembley. Rode our luck a bit today but came strong at the end. |

Listened to Radio Solent commentary. Sounded an awful game with some very poor performances. An away point but all seemed very slow and pedestrian. Adam Armstrong and Kyle Walker Peters in particular both had poor games. |

Once again we dominate the match, play some great football and then collapse. Very unfortunate to lose but once Ipswich equalised you could sense our heads drop in what was a 'must win' match. Like Saturday and many other games we controlled the game and looked solid but then fell apart. I thought the sending off was very harsh. I think there was a covering defender. We now coast to the play offs and rotate the squad I guess. WBA v Southampton looks nailed on now. Beaten them twice this season but counts for nothing now |

After missing so many great chances it felt inevitable that we'd concede right at the end. Should have won comfortably. The play off beckons unless we can somehow win the matches at Ipswich, Leicester and Leeds. I can see us doing OK in these matches but fear we'll continue to drop other points elsewhere. |

What a great game to watch. Long drive from Somerset through lots of snow but well worth it. Really engrossing 90 minutes. Saints showed a huge amount of character to win. The first two Birmingham goals were such quick breaks and terrific finishes. I was in line with both of them and they were unstoppable. Armstrong’s goal was great. Superb flick by Adams and a great ball from Brooks. All a bit chaotic in the first half but wrestled back control aided by the sending off. Two good goals saw us in the lead for the first time but all credit to Birmingham to come back again with ten men. Eventually they tired as we passed the ball really well and wore them down. Deserved the 96th minute winner after all the pressure. 78% possession, 25 shots, 10 on target and 16 corners to 6 was a fair reflection of a hard won victory. With Leicester losing and Leeds drawing not a bad day! Subs all contributed to the win. Let’s please not mess up the next two home games. |

Did well but failure to take good chances cost us dearly. Had we played a slightly stronger side we could have seen a different outcome but I guess we have to focus on the league. Saturday at Birmingham will be tough. |

Should have been a second yellow for the Millwall player for an awful tackle but ref completely bottled it. I thought the ref was very poor. 5 mins injury time after loads of subs, a number of injuries and blatant time wasting was a joke. |

Oh dear that was poor. Bazunu just had to punch that cross away. A really poor error. He was far too timid. Terrible time to concede the penalty. Bednarek said it hit his face but from the brief highlight I saw on my phone it looked a penalty. The second half was the biggest disappointment. Too slow and predictable. 81% possession but created very little and never really looked like saving it. Losing Fraser was a big blow. Edozie saw a lot of the ball but flattered to receive with crossing not good enough. I'm afraid it looks odds on the lottery of the play offs though we need to pick up results to guarantee a play off place. The super computer (before today's result) fed in all the prediction stats and has us finishing 7th. We need to sort ourselves out. We are really not ready for the Premiership but if we miss out this season we will lose much of our squad I fear. |

Well beaten by the better side tonight. Aribo should have started over Rothwell and Adams over Mara. Hull were always going to be tough should have played our best side. Hull played us at our own game. Bazunu struggled with clearances under pressure. Some poor passing again as at Bristol City. Looks like the play offs beckon. With Rotheri equalising in the 94th min at Ipswich only to lose in the 95th min it wasn't a good night. The momentum feels like it has swung behind Leeds and Ipswich but it could swing back again. |

Great performance. Controlled the game for long periods and defended well. I didn't think it was a penalty for Albion despite the pressure on the ref. Superb goal line clearance from Stephens. Otherwise some great possession football from Saints and we dominated all the key stats. Crucial superb save by Bazunu with 15 mins to go. It looked a certain goal and if they had scored then the whole momentum could have changed. Two great goals for us. Some solid performances throughout the team. Albion rarely lose at home but were deservedly beaten tonight. Thought Aribo in particular was superb from the bench. Great support from the Saints fans. I'd have settled for two draws from Bristol City and WBA so winning today meant we went one better ending the week with three points |

Phew! Great match to watch. Very impressed by Huddersfield. Attacked throughout and caused us significant problems. Superb comeback to win with some good goals. Thought the midfield was a bit overrun early on but fought back well. Was hugely entertaining, if a little uncomfortable at times. |

A step too far resting nine players against a team of Watford’s ability. We were poor beyond words in the first half with no one showing why they should force their way into the first eleven. Alcaraz was awful, frequently giving the ball away, and showed why he’s not a regular starter despite many clamouring for him to play. Holgate had a bit of a nightmare and others struggled too. When we made the quadruple change the whole match changed. We totally dominated from them onwards and certainly deserved the equaliser and came very close to winning the tie. The substitutes made a huge difference as Watford ran out of steam and we looked a completely different side. In the end we rescued things but it was a close call. If we get through the replay Liverpool away will provide a good test of how far we’ve come this season. |

Great win. First half we were completely dominant. Played some superb football. Tired in the second half but saw the game out. In the end it was closer than it should have been. Swansea improved considerably and twice hit the woodwork when it looked like they would score. Frazer had a great game. A real threat and great performances throughout the team especially Bazunu. It was great to be there to see the record achieved. A massive performance in a tough league. |
