Just found out for a pretty reliable source that saints have had a bid excepted by Lyon, and just have to sort out personal stuff with Dembele now (aka contracts and such), but it does seem like we’re just about to sign him!
This transfer market sure has shown of how this new owner sure is backing us and that we will finally get more investment in and won’t be having to sell our best players to buy new ones anymore! So nobody should be complaining about investment or such if this deal goes through, as it’s the most we’ve ever had, and by a long way too!
So that’s another midfielder we’ve now signed! Really, the only position we’re desperate for now is a central striker. But another fullback, centre half and winger would also be great. Certainly does seem like this could be one of our best transfer markets in a long time, and that us swapping owners may not have made much of a difference in January, but sure has now!
Seems like we’ve finally signed him, now we just need to find out who’s his Juliet is and that’s midfield sorted! But it seems like we’ll be signing that Randgera midfielder soon, and a few rumours for that Neco Williams, Broja, that Belgian attacking midfielder. Certainly looks like this could actually be a transfer window that we enjoy for once
Seems like there may be another player missing from the spurs squad against us for the opening game of the season, although who it is and whether it is a spurs lad or not is yet to be seen (and even then could just be a load of BS on the allegation side)…
I’ve seen this pop up a few times now, and it makes you wonder if it could maybe be true? As we’ve had a pretty decent start to the transfer market, so another 7 signings would certainly be nice, although if we did get them, how much they’d be for is certainly a wonder… Although it could just be the usual nonsense, but I guess if we were to make this many then it would certainly show us that our new owners do actually have some ambition, which we’ve certainly lacked over recent years!

Prowse has just made the England squad (which I’ve put below), but I’ve just found out some really interesting info about him for this transfer market… As many already know, I’m an FA official and do Wessex and such, but every once in a while I’m given academy games, and the person who appoints them has been doing it for like the last 30/40 years, meaning that he knows almost all the youth players that have come through the academy who still play today. (and also knows Southgates receptionist as she used to work for saints, so has a lot of connections). But the other day he was watching some refs do a saints youth game (as he watches the younger refs and tells them how to improve for positioning, signals etc), but Prowse and Romeu turned up to watch it. So he went over and asked Prowse if he thinks he’d make Qatar and of what this summer means to him, and he said that he doesn’t think he will as he doesn’t see himself playing at a big enough team, and that he’s pretty certain that some big teams players, irrelevant of how poor they may have been (aka Maguire, Rashford, Chilwell etc) as they just play for the big teams in which he doesn’t. But he also said that he’s really happy playing here and really isn’t too bothered about it as he’d rather play week in week out here, than move to some big team and sit on the bench and maybe make the England side (but also be sitting in the bench there), which is why he signed the long contract and is why he’s not desperate to leave. Hence why we might actually be able to keep him.
But of course as I said to my mate, all it takes is a wage increase by like 10X the amount and getting told he’d actually play, and that could be him gone. But still it certainly suggests that unlike Ings, he won’t be leaving for anyone outside of the “top 6” and will only supposedly do so if he actually gets played.
And he’s the squad… Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope, Aaron Ramsdale
Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Conor Coady, Marc Guehi, Reece James, James Justin, Harry Maguire, John Stones, Fikayo Tomori, Kieran Tripper, Kyle Walker, Ben White
