Stan’s Greatest Game
at 22:48 2 Mar 2024

There were many games to chose from, but I give you one grey Saturday afternoon in the early seventies at Stamford Bridge, when it was a complete and utter shithole, a total dump, with a greyhound track with bent lights, the Shed full of Neanderthals, a pitch like a paddy field, a ref like Neil in Bottom, and Droy, Macready, Harris, Hutchinson, trying to kick lumps out of him.

Stan skipped over every tackle like Margot Fonteyn and went back for more. I think the game ended up as a 3-3 draw; but I’ve never seen anyone be so brave as to keep on wanting the ball, regardless of the consequences.

Rodney started it. Stan finished it.

I’m too far away and too old and too short of readies to be there at Loftus Road on Wednesday.

I live in West Norfolk now, and today I bumped into someone I know here who is a Carlisle supporter, who greeted me with a left foot shot and said “your lot stole him from us for only £112,000 - but at least he went to a good home.”

We both agreed that Stan was the most gifted footballer that both of us had seen. I hope he gets a special send off this Wednesday.

What’s your greatest memory of Stan The Man?

I think we've got a good'un!!!

Post match interview: - "I want a team that identifies with what the supporters want" Neil Critchley .

I could never think of Beale ever saying that. I reckon we're about to get our Rangers back. So impressed with what Neil Critchley did today. For example:-

1. Putting Adomah on the wing. Second half, he was brilliant.
2. Not piss balling about always playing it out from the back as the first option.
3. Getting Jimmy Dunne to monster the back four.
4. Wining so many turnovers.
5. Making getting a shot off as the first option.
6. Giving Dykes some service to work with at last.
7. Above all, giving some shithousery back to the kings of it, and they don't like it up them.
8. I really like the look and sound of this bloke, he's no Bertie Bollox. I think we've got a good' un.

Thick Lizzy reported for charging Canaries
at 20:48 12 Oct 2022

Mystery deepens over Canaries Club Shop purchases charged to government credit card

By Noah Vickers, Local Democracy Reporter Eastern Daily Press

Published: 5:30 PM October 12, 2022

South West Norfolk MP Liz Truss has previously admitted to being a Canaries fan - A mystery over government spending at Norwich City Football Club’s online shop has deepened, as officials remain tight-lipped over their use of public money.

Questions had been raised last month by Labour MP Emily Thornberry over the Foreign Office spending some £1,841 at the Canaries’ online store over the last year.

The department’s purchases were made on two dates: £1,318 on October 21 last year and £523.50 on March 21 this year.

It is not known who requested the payments, but at the time in which they both were made, the department was led by South West Norfolk MP Liz Truss, who has spoken previously about being a City supporter.

Ms Thornberry, who serves as shadow attorney general, had written in a letter to foreign office minister Gillian Keegan, that it was difficult to understand why the department had spent money on items such as "high-end private catering; wellness and beauty treatments; extensive supplies from UK wineries; large amounts of home furnishing; and even £1,841 at the Norwich City club shop".

And in a formal parliamentary question following up on her letter, she asked the department whether the “normal assurance checks on the use of government procurement cards” had been followed.

Taarabt playing midfield for Benfica against Liverpool tonight
at 20:03 13 Apr 2022

He's wearing number 49 on BBC teamsheet. Maybe Hesgoal will have a stream shortly.

Another player totally cocked up by Redknobb's management skills, who can still get selected as a first team starting choice onto the international stage.

I truly hate that Pinocchio bloke almost as much as I hate Chelscum.

Adel's best performance was as a false 9 against them, when the Shaun Shanked Redemption hit the net as One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Best LFW thread and posts ever that night.

Missed two blatant penalties and then allowed the Sheffield United goal to stand after a blatant offside. Booked Lee Bowyer for complaining as a result.

Minimal effect on Bournemouth!

Not a good omen
at 12:11 23 Oct 2021

I’m potentially on my tenth consecutive occasion of watching the R’s lose!

I’m waiting for the 11:25 XL bus to Peterborough, when I realise that I’ve left my ticket for the match at home.

Went home to collect it and I’m now on the 11:49.

I still get there with an hour to spare but I think it’s a sign that bodes bad news today.

Just hope that I’m wrong!
3-1 to one side or the other is my score prediction!

I've changed my mind !!! Var what a great invention 😂😂

Which I can further clarify as .........

If Chelscum score, in future it's always to be referred to VAR.

And then disallowed ...

Why? You know why........ because they are knuts.

Will there be a cricket season this year?
at 19:19 18 Mar 2020

Release this afternoon from ECB ACO - recreational cricket suspended until further notice.

"Regrettably, we will not be starting the NCA season as planned. As a consequence the Captains & Umpires’ Meeting is also postponed. If the situation changes the Management Committee will look to salvage whatever we can but, for the time being the NCA League season is suspended until further notice".
