Referee Rob Shoebridge will make the trip up from Derbyshire to take charge of Tuesday’s game against Bournemouth.

He was last at Spotland in December 2009 for Dale’s 4-0 thrashing of Shrewsbury, which was the only game to take place that afternoon in League Two.

Rob is in his fifth season on the league list and Tuesday will be his sixth visit to Spotland.

The first Dale game he refereed was the 1-0 home defeat to Peterborough in December 2006, which was Steve Parkin’s last home fixture as our manager.

He was also in the middle for the 4-2 home win over Accrington in March 2007, the pre-season friendly with Huddersfield four months later and the 2-0 loss to Lincoln in January 2008.

Rob’s last Bournemouth match was at Grimsby in March, where they lost 3-2, while last Saturday he was in charge of the FA Cup third round tie between Swansea and Colchester.

Altogether this season he has referee 18 games, showing 32 yellow cards and two red.
