Guly Signs
Guly Signs

Saints fans will be relieved that Saints have ironed out the contract.

A big sigh of relief was heard in Southampton today when it was announced thatSaints have made the loan signing of Guly, due to end after this weekend permanent.

The Brazilian  has put pen to paper for an undisclosed fee on a two and a half year deal, its believed that Guly has always wanted to stay with Saints but the stumbling block was the qualification of his partner to stay in the country with him, by the look of things this has now been sorted.

Two months ago it didnt look likely that Guly would get a game in th team let alone a contract and back then there would not have been too many mourning his departure, but in that time he has worked hard and scored goals as well as create them, along with the added advantage that he is able to play out wide as well as up front.

With Adam Lallana looking likely to miss some matches and Puncheon's future uncertain not to mention Oxo, this could be a big benefit in the remainder of the season.

Guly took his time to adjust to life at St Mary's and if Alan Pardew had not been sacked its probable that he would not have even had a fair chance if rumours are to be believed about who actually signed him

Guly for his part just got on with the task of showing the new manager and the supporters that he could play a bit and deserves his chance to keep doing so.

A good signing. I think it's been obvious since his first game that he offers something different. He has taken a while though to prove the doubters.

As well as Guly has been playing lately, I think the best is still to come. I'm very pleased he has signed
