Saints have only sold 16,000 to home supporters for the Palace game.

Officials at Southampton Football Club have to be worried as only 16,000 Saints supporters have so far bought tickets for the visit of Crystal Palace on Monday.

Although by the time 1,500 away fans and a walk up on the day have been added it will push the gat up to the 20k mark, this is not enough to enable the club to afford to keep going.

Whilst I have come under attack from some quarters in the past week for my stance on the empty seats for the Charlton game, the blunt truth is that Saints can only get through to the end of the season if the supporters rally round to the cause and put their money wwere their mouth is.

It is not the supporters fault that the club finds itself in this position, however now is the time for them to step up to the plate to save the Club.
