McClaren Looks To Bring Liverpool's Wisdom To Derby... On Loan
Monday, 21st Oct 2013 02:47 by Daniel J Sewart

Mirror.co.uk are reporting that Liverpool has agreed for defender Andre Wisdom to join Derby on loan. McClaren has reportedly wanted to sign another defender since arriving at Pride Park and the England Under 21 International will fit the bill perfectly with a deal reportedly set to be confirmed early this week.

With Zak Whitbread picking up an injury on Saturday — should he be out of action for long — that would once again leave only the ever reliable Jake Buxton as the only choice with any decent amount of first team experience.

Liverpool has high hopes for Wisdom who can play as a right back or centre half with the Mirror reporting that Brendan Rogers is looking to get some games into the youngster and has been looking for an ideal home for his charger. What better place than a team now coached by a former England manager and a highly rated group of coaches.

On top of that could the rumours of a deal being struck between Liverpool & Derby, for not just Will Hughes but an ongoing player exchange program, be moving from a whisper to a reality? As the say — watch this space…..

The reported deal for Wisdom would most likely be an initial emergency loan with an eye to extend until the end of the season, provided the arrangement is working for all parties.

The 20 year old defender, born ‘Andre Alexander Shaquille Wisdom’, began his career at Bradford City before signing for Liverpool in 2008. He has also played for and captained the England youth team at various levels, winning the UEFA European U-17 Championship in 2010 while wearing the arm band.

Youth, talent and leadership — sounds like a good mix to me!
