The worst kept secret is now out, Bristol Rovers are interested in the land the Fruit Market is currently on, but it's not believed that Dwayne Sports who currently own Bristol Rovers is behind the attempt to buy the land.

Instead, it is thought that it's part of a consortium who are interested in buying out The Al-Qadi family out and then building Bristol Rovers a new stadium and further development on the 11 acre Fruit Market land. The consortium is believed to be UK based with International financial backing.

It is thought that a local housing developer is interested in acquiring The Memorial Stadium as part of the deal.
