Fans Forum - This Wednesday on 06:58 - Jul 31 with 6209 views | rochedale | I can't go, but have some questions if anybody cares to ask... Are you happy with the results of the season ticket initiative? Will you be doing anything similar for our 111th season? Can you just have a 6 week period next year where tickets are priced at £111? Are there any more plans for Stadium improvements? Great work with billboards, this has been needed for a while, will thus be a continuous project? Are we signing Matt Done? If not, why not? Are we signing any other players? What is the situation with training facilities? When re-negotiating kit deal, please can we have an adidas kit? 😀

I was going to add similar, but didn't think that adidas would offer that option, that would be excellent though.

Yes, the problem with someone like Adidas or Nike is that we would have to choose a template rather than design something of our own. The kits and leisurewear would be of a higher quality, but not bespoke. Maybe we should see what Lincoln's away kit is and go from there...

Fans Forum - This Wednesday - 7:30pm on 16:24 - Jul 31 with 5967 views | 442Dale | As TVOS says, both adidas and Nike (and Puma) kits are pretty poor unless you get something a bit different; there is very little chance we get a decent adidas shirt with the three club colours unless somebody who knows what they're doing gets involved in the process. That means supporters get real input* For an adidas shirt that has deviated from their boring templates, see Sheff U's. The trim on their stripes is quite scintillating. If we don't get that sort of thing, it'll need shorts or socks in a third colour to the shirt to keep the blue/black/white theme. * I guarantee that by doing so over the last five years they'd have made 50-100k more on shirt sales than they have. At least. [Post edited 31 Jul 2017 16:33]

Fans Forum - This Wednesday - 7:30pm on 07:41 - Aug 1 by rochdaleriddler | I'd like to know why the issues with central defence have not been addressed |
Well one of our central defenders won the players player of the year award last season (really?) and was rewarded with a 12 month contract extension...Jim McNulty. Others like Rafferty, Camps and Henderson all must have pushed him close but unfortunately missed out on what is probably the most important of all the end of season awards. There have been dozens of central defenders moving Clubs over the last month or two, Bury signed one on loan from Burnley yesterday. The fact Hill hasn't strengthened that particular department must mean he is happy with what he has (I don't believe it's down to finances), maybe it's just the supporters who percieve McNulty and Canavan to be the weakest links. Like I said, the players voted McNulty as their player of the season, so we are probably wrong to criticise him. I would imagine Hills response to any question regarding the centre of defence would be to suggest it is every players responsibility to defend and not just the Central defenders, or something like that.Trying to defend individuals regular basic errors might prove a bit more tricky, they cost us big time last season and our two most experienced defenders where the biggest culprits, that's the worrying thing!! I have wondered for a long time if the Club need to bring in a defensive coach to help out. Our inability to do the basics in defence like defending set pieces or over playing in the wrong areas has been evident for a number of seasons now. If it was down to the players themselves then you would have thought those responsible would be replaced. Also wondered if the physio/medical team needs a bit more help, it seems to take ages for injured players to recover and we seem to pick injuries up for fun. Recruitment isn't just about boosting the playing staff but obviously finances dictate. [Post edited 1 Aug 2017 10:12]

Do you think the amount of last minute goals/ the amount of goals conceded from setpieces and corners is acceptable. Why have you not improved our weakest area of the team. Do you remember your saying round pegs in square holes, are you gonna stick to that saying this year !!!! Well done to board for the off field improvements

There's a question in there, but I think that'd be the wrong way to phrase it, i.e. it'd be perceived as being 'negative' and probably wouldn't elicit the type of response that'd be hoped for I'm not 100% sure of going yet, but if I do, I might ask something about employing a specialist fitness coach...

No 'well done Keith for creating the best, most successful team in the history of the football club'? You seem to have a downer on him, bizarrely.

Yes the 'Astro turf' needs asking about. It's a disgrace that they use it for kids parties - and yes a regular 5 aside league could be a real money spinner - if they aren't going to replace it whilst they have the money they never will.

It's well past it's best........IF they decide a "re-furb"......why not make it bigger ? Allows more kids on at the same time......present one always looks cramped. Sacrifice a bit of the CarPark or is the adjacent land still for sale?
