I stopped watching these interviews before Christmas. The same pious platitudes trotted out week after week. Credit to Toums though for lifting his head above the Platt Lane parapet.

If only he could lift his head occasionally on the pitch, and find a pass to a Dale shirt
I do feel for the media team to be honest. Granted we need to hear from the 'captain' but if they trot the same garbage out every week, they get slated. If they work their way round the squad like they have been doing, people say we only need to hear from certain individuals. Personally, I like hearing from others (even if their copy and paste answers have long since put me off them)

I agree. It’s a thankless task for them at the minute. They lack the autonomy of an independent news outlet, so we’re never going to get much beyond the party line or cliches, sadly.
Heading up to the game with some degree of trepidation. It is sad that my overriding reason for going is because I have never been to see Dale play Crewe I have the opportunity today (long weekend) and I don't know when and if we will again. Of course this is going to be the day they start playing like they should be in the Premier League and we go on a 13 game unbeaten run finishing the season comfortably outside the drop zone.

'Only happy when you've got it often makes you miss the journey'
EEL and Ohno both playing shows the manager has completely lost it. If we manage anything today it will be a miracle of epic proportions. I guess he thinks by the law of averages an assist will be provided by Odoh. 🤣ðŸ˜

So good to see #14 in the line up. Let's enjoy him while he's here. Dale win today.
The only positive but I'm afraid he'd have to do the work of three to have an impact. Taylor should never have been dropped when EEL was available again. He has only contributed to our demise. He'll have to cover a lot for EEL today.

Much, much better performance but they missed an absolute sitter in stoppage time. We look so much better when playing with pace and with Brierley in the side.

Will it stop the finger-pointing?
Not at Crewe. They've been bobbins but missed a header from inside 6 yd box with only keeper to beat. Their keeper managed to slice a clearance behind himself to conceed a corner at the death. We should come away with 3 pts from this. Doesn't mean we will though

Best half of football in a long, long time from us. Can we replicate it in the second half though and take one of our chances? Fingers crossed and all that.
