Yes, yes and yes! Why did we move from the 80s? Those were the good old days indeed. Progress? Pffft, whatever. My life's more complicated now, kids, work, responsibilities and all that. I still got the Atari 2600 console with about 30 games

More 80s than 70s though I'd say.
Teletext them was the (frustrating) days anyone else often find their teletext was often all jumbled up on certain channels and didn't work properly.

THis is when I realised how old I am!

The thing I remember about teletext was the excitement waiting for the page to change and seeing if there was any change to the score. Then, once a few teams had scored goals, page 2 (where we usually were) would become page 3 so the wait was even longer. Many years later they introduced the option of turning the pages automatically which was revolutionary.

With the Atari 2600, I found an Ipad app which gives you loads of old Atari games as they were back then. It’s actually pretty crap and costs a lot, but its great for nostalgia and I’ve been revisiting Chopper Command and Decathlon.

Lyrics to that on a QPR theme:

Gerry Francis, Chrissie Day, Terry Fenwick, Super Ray
Al McDonald, David Bardsley, Daniel Dichio

Brian Bedford, Andy Thomson, White City, First Division
John Gregory, Jack Gregory, even Harry Lowe

All the Allens, Furlong, Phil Parkes, Wilson
Gino, Dave Thomas wide, and the day that Ray died,

Darren Peacock, Mike Keen, England half of Ranger`s team
Tony Ingham, Ivor Powell, Chris Wright goodbye

CHORUS
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we will not fight it

Andy Impey, in The Loft, Maddix and a Lee Cook cross
Simon Barker, Peter Hucker, Frank McLintock

Rod Marsh, Don Masson, Vauxhall Motors, Gallen
Don Shanks, Stan Bowles, Sexton,Venners,Stock

Sinclair, Wegerle, Rangers` Wembley winning team
Dave Clement, Les Allen, Gareth Ainsworth, Ferdinand

Jago, Ardiles, Bratislava,going up
Title race, Fereday`s pace, Trouble in the Milk Cup

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we will not fight it

David Webb, Captain Jack, Morgan twins, Jude the Cat
Six foot two, eyes of blue, Stevie Wicks is after you

Stainrod, Bert Addinall, Rangers Total football,
Bannister, Kiyan died, wearing the shirt with some pride

Micklewhite and Parker, Steve Palmer, Roeder
SuperHoops, Waddo, Figo is a no-go

Baidoo, LDC, then to Iain Dowie
Gavin Peacock, Astro, playing matches in the snow

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we will not fight it

Holloway, Seaman, win away in Iceland,
Currie, Houston, the Play-off invasion

Hopes of Rangers coming back, another one has got the sack
Springett, Shittu, 3 for Stan at Bergen

Ian Dawes, Alec Stock, the strange times of Tommy Doc
Man Utd blown away, four one there on New Year`s Day

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we will not fight it

Burtenshaw, terracing, Tommy Williams back again
Bakholt, Kerslake, Sousagate, The Springbok

Sir Les wearing number nine, Trevor on the touchline
Being rpoud to be a fan, knowing that Stan was the man

Ian Gillard, Paul McGee, Michael Meaker and Quashie
Gav Maguire, Leighton James, Mick Leach and Cup games

Scoring 6 against Chelsea, down to Oz in 83
now it`s all the boardroom wars, I can't take it anymore

Cartridges surely? I had the old Intellivision which wasn't quite as good as the Atari. First console with a game pad rather than a joystick though I think.
