Warnock alone Ranger?
Warnock alone Ranger?

Under pressure Leeds boss wants to bring "one or two" in but we all know that won't happen unless there is some positive takeover news in the next 72 hours! Warnock has agreed two loan deals though today.

That is the extended stay of Dominic Poleon and Zac Thompson at Bury until January 3rd. Although I have not lost faith in Warnock, this decision counters his constant criticism of the size of the squad. Overall I liked what I saw of Thompson last season and Poleon's pace looked a threat against Hull briefly and Forest, where he scored so I am baffled in all honesty.

Warnock today was linked with his old charge Clint Hill, the 34-year-old was a summer free transfer target but opted to stay at QPR for another year. With hindsight it was not a good decision as he cannot even get in their side and current boss Mark Hughes criticism of what he inherited from Warnock may bode well in Hill being allowed to leave.

It seems doubtful though given the precarious state of the takeover that Warnovk will be signing anyone until a deal is done.

There's a 24 hour recall clause for Poleon and Thompson in case we get any more injuries, but I agree it's a poor decision to agree to continue their loan.

As far as Hill is concerned, I suppose that beggars can’t be choosers, so until this takeover finally happens we’ll have to make do with whoever we can get, so a 34 year old cast-off it is.

Don't knock Clint Hill - he plays with passion and will give 110% Best position is Centre back and was a key factor in QPR staying up last season.

I don't doubt his commitment, I just think we should be looking at better quality players. I suppose I'm just frustrated at the way Ken Bates is running our club into the ground.
