Despite the wonderful efforts of groundstaff and supporters, heavy overnight rain saw an end to the Port Vale home game.
The game was called off early and with standing water still remaining on the Spotland pitch late into the afternoon, there was never going to be any chance of the game going ahead despite better than forecast weather on the Saturday.
The game has been rearranged for Tuesday 26th January.
