Saints will now only sell tickets for the Reading game to those on the database.
Reading have confirmed that they have sold all their tickets for their visit to St Mary's on Sunday 28th December, as usual with the prospect of away supporters attempting to purchase tickets for the home sections, Saints will now only sell to those that are on their database, ie were previously season ticket holders or members or bought a ticket by credit/debit card.
Although there is sure to be somebody who turns up to buy a ticket and isnt on the database, with over 50,000 supporters actually on it, these incidences should be few and far between, anyone who wants to go to the game and feels that in the past they have only used cash to buy a ticket should perhaps get a freind on the database to get the ticket for them or alternatively call the ticket office in advance and explain their predicament and check if they are on the list.
Hopefully the lure of a local derby over the Xmas period should see a bumper crowd, perhaps approaching the 23-25,000 mark, certainly this game and the Man Utd fixture will not only bring some much needed revenue into the club, but also give supporters the pleasurable experience of seeing a St Mary's with many more supporters than empty seats.
