Out of favour Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy is being linked with a move to Swansea
The Irishman, who played a big part in getting the Black Cats promoted to the Premier League in 2007, has struggled to cement his place in the team ahead of Kenwyne Jones and Darren Bent.
Murphy has scored 14 goals in 60 starts for Sunderland, his most recent appearance coming yesterday in the 7-2 thumping at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.
Mick McCarthy is also reportedly interested in the striker, who can also play out wide, but the News Of The World says that the 26 year old is some way down the Wolves boss' shortlist of targets.
Paulo Sousa is known to be on the lookout for a striker in the January transfer window, with former Crystal Palace and Fulham targetman Shefki Kuqi earlier in the month linked with a move to South Wales.
