The Daily Mirror reports that the Swans attempt to sign Wayne Routledge has ended after failing to agree terms
It was reported last week that Swansea City had agreed a fee with Newcastle for Routledge but the Mirror now reports that they have failed to agree terms with Routledge and Brendan will now turn his attentions back to his Middlesbrough targets.
Routledge was also a target reportedly for Leicester and Nottingham Forest who are believed to still be in the running having refused to rule out matching the wage demands of Routledge who spent the end of last season on loan at QPR.
Routledge is deemed surplus to requirements at Newcastle
