Having quit the U's at the end of his contract, Brian Wilson has joined Oldham Athletic on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old rejected an offer of a new contract at the end of the season, bringing to an end a four-year spell at United Way. He made 163 appearances (162 starts/1 sub) over four seasons, scoring three goals, and finished his reign as the club's captain.
He is the second player to move on to another League One club, with Ryan Dickson signing for Crawley Town last week.
