| Rochdale Supporters Trust would like to announce it's nomination process to join the Trust Board for the 2007/08 season, is officially open from 1st September 2007. As you are all aware Dale Trust is a democratic body, which means that its board has to be voted for by YOU its members, and everyone who is a member has the chance to put themselves forward to stand on the Trust board. This will ensure that if members do not agree with the decisions its board makes they can vote to change things, with a number of spaces put up for election each year.
Don’t worry this is not as stuffy as it sounds, there’s no need to be put off by talk of ballot boxes and election campaigns. It’s a chance for anyone who wants to get involved to do so. Currently the Trust board has 10 members and with the constitution allowing 12 members there are currently a number of vacancies already. Therefore an election would only be required if more people wanted to be involved than spaces available.
As per the constitution half the elected members of the Daletrust board must make put themselves up for election each year. This year the four stepping down are:-

Being a Trust board member can be a rewarding experience and the more people we have involved the more we can achieve, so if you are thinking about it then why not give it a go.
