Sammie Szmodics has been recalled from his one-month loan at Braintree Town.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was shipped out to our non-league neighbours last month, but caretaker managers Richard Hall and John McGreal have wasted no time in bringing him back to the club, and it is likely that he’ll travel to Burton tomorrow.
In his short spell at Cressing Road he made three appearances for the Iron, scoring in the National League games against Macclesfield and Halifax.
