Following the departure of Dean Gerken and the collapse of the deal to sign Ben Williams from Carlisle United, it appears that Paul Lambert has turned his attention to North of the border in the hunt for a new number one.
According to reports from Scotland, Dundee have rejected an approach from the U's for their veteran keeper Robert Douglas. Speaking to the Dundee Courier, Dens boss Jocky Scott said: "Rab (Robert Douglas) signed a new two-year deal just before the end of last season so he is going nowhere."
37-year-old Douglas is no stranger to Paul Lambert, having previously played for him at Wycombe, where he made only three appearances for the Chairboys over three months, whilst on loan from Leicester City. Also, as a player, Lambert played alongside Douglas at Celtic.
